Redesigning is not starting from scratch
Your old website has things worth keeping: pages Google already knows, copy that persuades, years of history. A badly done redesign throws them out with everything else and you start again from the bottom.
That is why we first look at what works. Whatever brings in visits is kept and improved; whatever is surplus goes. And if a well-known plugin does what you need, we use it instead of coding it: it is cheaper to build and to maintain. We explain this in custom WordPress development.

Who does the work
We are a studio from Oleiros (A Coruña, Spain) with 8 years of hands-on WordPress experience, working freelance since February 2018. You talk to the person who does the work, not to a go-between. Meetings are by video call and, if you are in the city of Barcelona, we can also meet in person.

How much does a website redesign cost?
It depends on the size of the website and how much can be reused. As a guide, excluding VAT: a landing page from €250, a blog from €350, a simple WooCommerce shop from €950 and complex projects from €2,500. After reviewing your website, we give you a fixed quote in writing.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I redesign my website?
Not necessarily. We keep the addresses of the pages that bring in visits and set up 301 redirects for the ones that change. A well-done redesign usually improves rankings, because the website loads faster and looks better on mobile.
Do I have to stop using my website while you redesign it?
No. We work on a staging copy and your current website keeps running until switch-over day, which we plan so there is no downtime.
Can I keep my text and photos?
Yes, everything that works. We check which pages bring in visits and which content converts, and carry it over to the new design. Anything out of date, we suggest refreshing.
My website is not on WordPress. Can you redesign it too?
Yes. If it comes from another platform, we move it to WordPress and redesign it in the same project. That way you can edit it yourself and you will not depend on anyone to change a line of text.
How often should you update a website design?
There is no fixed date, but if your website is more than five or six years old, does not look right on mobile or you are embarrassed to send it to a client, it is time to update it. With good maintenance, a design lasts much longer.
