From €25 a month

WordPress maintenance at a fixed price, with no minimum term

We look after your WordPress, WooCommerce or MemberPress site: updates, backups, security and support. From €25/month + VAT, with no minimum term.

Free tool

Is your WordPress up to date?

We check from the outside what an attacker would see: WordPress version, visible plugins, HTTPS, security headers and open doors such as xmlrpc.php or the user list.

Free. We only look at what anyone can see from outside, without logging in to your site or storing anything.

Included in every plan

  • WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, as often as your plan says.
  • Backups stored away from your website’s server.
  • Uptime monitoring: if your site goes down, we know before your customers do.
  • Security scanning to detect malware.

Not included

Anything outside the plan is quoted in writing before we start, and we only do it if you say yes. The full maintenance terms are published.

Comparison

Essential or Complete: which one your site needs

It comes down to what a day of downtime costs you: if it is not much, Essential is enough; if it is a lot, you need Complete.

Business websites and blogs

The Essential plan is for sites that change little and do not take payments directly: a company website, a portfolio, a blog. They stay up to date, have a backup stored off the server and someone checking that they stay up. If something breaks, we tell you straight away and send you a quote for the fix before touching anything.

WooCommerce shops and membership areas

The Complete plan is WooCommerce and MemberPress maintenance for sites where a fault means lost orders or lost subscription fees. We test every update on a copy before applying it, check that checkout, payment and subscriptions still work, and if something fails, the fix is included. You also get 2 hours a month for the small changes that always come up.

How much it costs to maintain a WordPress website

The price depends on what your site does (an informational site is not a shop), how often it needs updating and who answers when it fails. At AGENCIA RSE, maintaining a business website or a blog costs €25/month + VAT, and maintaining a shop, a membership area or a site that cannot go down costs €120/month + VAT. Neither has a minimum term.

Process

How we get started with your site

  1. 01. Initial review

We check versions, plugins, backups and performance so we know the state of your site before committing to anything.

  2. 02. Bringing it up to date

If something needs fixing before the site can be maintained safely, we tell you and quote it before doing it.

  3. 03. Monitoring switched on

We activate the backups, downtime alerts and security scanning included in your plan.

  4. 04. Monthly report

Every month you get a written record of what we checked and did, so you do not have to take our word for it.

If another agency built your site

That is the most common case, and it is not a problem. We start by reviewing versions, plugins, backups and performance, and explain clearly what should be fixed before we maintain it. If you want bigger changes later on, we quote them as custom WordPress development.

Technical support

What happens if your site goes down or gets hacked

Has it already happened and you have no plan? See our hacked WordPress clean-up.

With the Essential plan

The alert is instant: it reaches us as soon as the site stops responding, and we email you. We keep a weekly backup off the server to recover the site, and we quote the fix in writing before we start. It is WordPress technical support by email, with a reply within 48 working hours.

With the Complete plan

Fixing the problem and getting the site back up are included, and support runs 24/7, 365 days a year. If the cause is an attack, you have daily backups from the last 90 days, and the restore is included too.

Who does the work

We are a studio from Oleiros (A Coruña, Spain) with 8 years of hands-on WordPress experience, working freelance since February 2018. When you write to us, the person who works on your site replies, not a department. We work remotely with clients all over Spain and, if you are in the city of Barcelona, we can also meet in person. Besides maintenance, we also connect your WordPress to AI.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about WordPress maintenance

How much does WordPress website maintenance cost?

For a business website or a blog, €25/month + VAT. For a WooCommerce shop, a membership area or a site that cannot go down, €120/month + VAT. Prices are fixed, and any extras are quoted in writing before we start.

What does a WordPress maintenance service include?

Updating the core, theme and plugins, making backups stored off the server, checking the site stays up, scanning for malware and giving you support. The Complete plan adds checkout testing after every update, fixes included and 2 hours a month for changes. Redesigns, new features, premium licences and content are not included.

How often should WordPress and its plugins be updated?

Every time a release with security fixes comes out, and the sooner the better, because attacks on WordPress sites usually exploit flaws that are already public. On the Essential plan we do it every week; on the Complete plan, every day, testing first on a copy so nothing breaks.

Do I need maintenance if my website hardly changes?

Yes, because what goes out of date is not your content but the software running it. A site left alone builds up old versions of plugins and PHP, and it is the one that runs into trouble first. That is what the Essential plan is for, at €25/month.

What is the difference between maintenance and hosting?

Hosting is the server your website lives on: it keeps the site switched on, but it does not update your plugins or check your site. Maintenance is the work done on top, and our backups are stored off the server so they are not lost along with it. Hosting and domain are not included, unless stated otherwise.

Can I cancel my plan at any time?

Yes, there is no minimum term. The monthly plan ends at the end of the paid month and, on the annual plan, we refund the remaining months pro rata. When you leave we hand over the access details and the latest backup, if you ask for it within the following 30 days.
